Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multicultural family. She was born within South London. She has a father who is Nigerian as well as Swiss and her mother is English. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She was a student of acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. The stage she appeared in was many productions while attending school including the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started her acting career with a film titled Storm Damage. Since then, she has appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. In the following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and in six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, she got Bambi's character on ITV2 Drama Series Secret Diary of a Call Girl. The actress was on the series 2 and 3. Madekwe was a star in the comedy of 2008 How to Alienate and Lose Friends. Theatre credits for Madekwe include Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe was officially introduced to her US debut in the series The Beautiful Life in 2009. The show ran just two episodes on The CW, and was later removed from the air. In February 2011, she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the drama series of Revenge on ABC in two episodes. In May 2013 that she'd leave the series after making one guest appearance on the initial season of the third. In 2014 and 2016, she starred as Tituba on the show Salem. Madekwe married her actor partner Iddo goldberg on June 2012. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also starred as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress nominated twice for the Gemini Award, comes from the large Hamilton family. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty and her other siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's siblings, who are all athletes, play in the summer months and play hockey in winters. Ashley didn't walk, instead she was a dancer. When she was two and half she discovered Baby Ballet. Ashley became a dancer from that moment. Ashley performed in competitive ballet, jazz and tap in high divisions. She won the top soloist awards at all of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-6-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
